KARYANASIONAL.COM, Trimurjo _ Khawatir dampak pencemaran lingkungan, warga Kelurahan Adipuro, Kecamatan Trimurjo, menolak program peternakan bebek dari Pemerintah Kabupaten (Pemkab) Lampung Tengah (Lamteng).
Yanto, salah seorang warga yang tinggal di sekitar calon lokasi dibangunnya peternakan bebek menyebut bahwa program tersebut akan berdampak buruk bagi warga sekitar.
“Meski ini merupakan program pemerintah, tapi kami sebagai warga di sekitar lokasi akan menolak untuk dibangunnya peternakan itu. Sebab akan berdampak buruk bagi kami. Baik dalam pertanian maupun kesehatan,” katanya.
Senada dikatakan Kepala Lingkungan (Kaling) Adirejo Kelurahan Adipuro Subari. Menurutnya, peternakan yang dibangun tersebut akan membuat sebagian warga merasa tidak nyaman.
“Sebab dari bau, lalat, maupun limbah, nantinya akan banyak merugikan warga. Yang pasti warga saya banyak yang keberatan untuk dibangun peternakan itu,” ungkapnya.
Sementara, Camat Trimurjo Wanda Rusli menjelaskan bahwa pembangunan peternakan tersebut merupakan wacana Pemkab Lamteng bekerjasama dengan Universitas Gajah Mada (UGM) Yogyakarta.
“Ini kan baru awal dan masih dalam tahap perencanaan. Kita tahu yang namanya pemerintah tidak akan sembarangan dalam melangkah untuk melaksanakan program. Tentu sudah mempersiapkan tim ahlinya, terutama untuk menanggulangi limbah maupun dampak dari pembangunan peternakan itu,” terang Camat.
Selain itu, imbuh dia, pemkab yang telah menjalin kerjasama dengan UGM, sebelumnya pasti telah mempersiapkan para ahli di masing-masing bidang.
“Yang pasti pemerintah daerah telah mempersiapkan orang-orang ahli yang membidangi masalah peternakan itu. Baik dari pengolahan daging, limbah, cara membudidaya, dan masalah pakan. Ini sudah ada ahli-ahlinya,” tambahnya.
Dia berharap seluruh Kaling dapat menerima dengan baik program yang digagas oleh Pemkab Lamteng dan UGM tersebut. Sebab, menurut Wanda, program tersebut masih dalam kajian dan wacana pemerintah.
“Mari kita songsong dan kita dukung program ini. Apabila dalam pelaksanaannya nanti tidak berimbang antara mudarat dan manfaatnya, ayo sama-sama kita tutup peternakan itu. Tapi saya berharap peternakan itu nantinya akan memberi dampak positif bagi warga sekitar, khususnya di Kecamatan Trimurjo ini,” ucapnya.
Diketahui, Bupati Lamteng Loekman Djoyosoemarto menyampaikan kepada warga se-Kecamatan Trimurjo pada kunjungan kerjanya beberapa waktu lalu bahwa pihaknya telah menjalin kerjasama dengan UGM akan membangun peternakan bebek potong di Kelurahan Adipuro, Kecamatan Trimurjo. (Sur/Ren)
